EA has indicated that its catalogue of games will be returning to Steam by posting a video of a mug with steam rising from it (via Eurogamer).
In 2011, EA released its own digital distribution platform for selling its own games. Since then, every first-party game EA has published for PC has followed suit, and there are Origin-enabled games that must use the software to run regardless of the website that game was bought from. Origin Access and Origin Access Premier are subscription services that offers players an early access trial to upcoming games, a 10 per cent discount on digital purchases, and a collection of EA titles that are not available for non-members.

Twitter user RobotBrush found a test application for running Origin games on Steam, which set off speculation that EA’s catalogue of games would be coming back. It seems that the application would let people purchase and run its games through Steam, but they would still need verify the game through the Origin software.
Yet, this is only a video of a mug with steam rising from it, and it doesn’t confirm or reveal anything to do with EA or Valve. However, it would be nice to see some of its older titles pop up on Steam. It could bundle Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, and Dragon Age Inquisition with its DLC. It’s always bothered me that they’re all split up.
