EA has said it won’t rest until all Battlefield 3 server issues are resolved, and the good news is it shouldn’t be too long until this goal is achieved.
“We are happy to report that PS3 and PC players experienced server stability all weekend, and Xbox 360 servers are at 95 percent and climbing,” an EA rep told Kotaku. “There were a number of different factors that impacted server connectivity across the platforms. Regardless of the cause or platform, our online teams are standing by to identify the issues and addressed them as they arise.
“We will not rest until we’re at 100 percent.”
Battlefield 3 debuted at No.1 in the UK All Formats Video Game Chart, setting a new record for the franchise. The sales success followed news that EA has shipped 10 million copies of Battlefield 3 worldwide.
So far it seems that server teething problems have done little to detract gamers from Battlefield 3, but how will the title handle the onslaught of competition in the coming weeks?
