EA has announced strong support for Sony’s PSP, with six titles to be available at launch. The titles are Need for Speed Underground Rivals, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, NBA Street: Showdown, NFL Street 2: Unleashed, FIFA Football and MVP Baseball.

It is expected that all these games will also be European launch titles, but titles such as NFL Street 2: Unleashed and MVP Baseball could launch later due to lack of European interest in those sports.

FIFA and Need for Speed Underground Rivals look to be the major releases for the European market, with both being an almost sure fire success after the franchises sold so well on home consoles this Christmas.

What is perhaps a little strange is that no Madden game has been announced for launch. With a good number of months before the 2006 game is set for release, PSP owners could be waiting some time for their first Madden fix, something that Nintendo DS owners had from the launch.

We will bring you more news on these games soon.
