EA has announced some of its plans for Gamescom 2017, ahead of the show taking place next month. In a blog post, EA said that we should expect, ‘more news, more gameplay, and more hands-on experiences’. It also went on to say that it will be hosting a live show, and even teased ‘a few surprises’.

EA’s live show will probably be quite similar to its conference at E3, starting on August 21 at 5:30PM BST. For those who tune in, you’ll be able ‘to see gameplay, live matches and a few surprises as well’. There will also be live entertainment, which will feature gameplay deep dives, producer interviews and more. Which all sounds lovely.

When the show actually opens to the public on August 22, Gamescom attendees will be able to get a hands-on with Star Wars: Battlefront 2, FIFA 18, Need for Speed Payback and the Battlefield 1: In the Name of the Tsar DLC across almost 400 stations. That’s a lot of stations.

In the next few weeks leading up to Gamescom, EA has said it will be revealing more details about what else will be shown by its developers at the conference. The livestream will be shown over on EA’s official site.

Gamescom 2017 takes place from August 22-26 in Cologne, Germany. It will be open to press from August 21.
