Tiger Woods has been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons in the past week, and on Wednesday issued an apology for “transgressions”.

So what do his sponsors, who pay Woods around $100 million a year to promote their products, think? According to a Reuters report, sponsors including Nike, Pepsi, Gillette and EA stand behind one of the most recognisable sportsmen in the world.

“Our strong relationship with Tiger for more than a decade remains unchanged. We respect Tiger’s privacy, we wish him a fast recovery and we look forward to seeing him back on the golf course,” EA said in a statement.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, the most recent game in the EA developed series, was released earlier this year.
