EA Sports Rory McIlroy PGA Tour will now release on July 14, back from an unspecified date in June, EA has announced.
The date change not only means the game launches the same week as the Open Championship at St. Andrews, but also gives the devs a little more time to work on the online components.
“Launching the game on July 14 allows us to deliver a fully-featured online offering including online tournaments. We know even though golf can be a fun game to play solo, it’s even better with friends,” reads the EA Sports blog.
“Our team has been hard to ensure online rounds and tournaments are a fun experience from day one.
