EA shutting down game servers for older games

In a statement on EA.com, it has been revealed that EA is to close down the online game servers for over 20 of its older titles.

The majority of closures will take place on August 1, with casualties including FIFA Soccer 2005, Fight Night Round 2, and Need for Speed Underground 2 (although this does not include the PS2 version, which presumably still has a strong online following). A full list of closures can be seen below.

August 1, 2006 Online Service Shutdown:
