EA has failed in its bid to claim control of the domain SSX.com, with Abstract Holdings International LTD ruled to have done no wrong when making the purchase.

Back in October 2011, Abstract Holdings purchased the SSX.com domain as part of a $200,000 portfolio purchase. For a short period following the purchase the domain was used to host game-related advertisements, which EA argued represented registering the domain in “bad faith”.

However, a three-person National Arbitration Forum panel has ruled against EA, claiming its argument was invalid.

SSX hits stores in the UK on March 2 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
