EA chief competitive officer Peter Moore has confirmed that the custom built version of FIFA coming to the Nintendo Switch will be FIFA 18.
Talking to Gamereactor this weekend, Moore said ‘It will be FIFA 18, and it will obviously be later this year when FIFA 18 comes out.’ This gives FIFA on Nintendo Switch a possible release window of September this year.
Gamereactor also pressed Moore on whether it would be the full version of the game, as seen on PS4 and Xbox One, or whether the Switch version of FIFA would be ‘slimmed down’.
Moore replied that ‘What you have will be a custom built version for the Nintendo Switch from the FIFA development team in Vancouver.’ So, a definitive answer there. The team in Vancouver previously worked on FIFA for the Wii U.
