Dynasty Warriors 9 has received a new update today adding a two-player co-op mode to the open-world hack-'n-slash sequel.

In addition to buffing the Koei Tecmo title with online and offline multiplayer battles, the patch also includes a range of gameplay updates, including additional bows, new wallpapers, and background music plucked from past Dynasty Warriors titles.

Koei Tecmo also revealed that Dynasty Warriors 9 is getting a free Trial version on November 1 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, where you can test a few of the game's playable characters.

Finally, the company confirmed that there's a new batch of content on the way for Dynasty Warriors 9 via a new Season Pass. It'll launch on October 30 for all platforms and adds extra costumes, scenarios, weapons, and other 'useful materials.'

Dynasty Warriors 9 launched for PS4, PC, and Xbox One back in February.
