Dynasty Warriors 9 DLC lineup includes new playable characters

Dynasty Warriors 9 developer Koei Tecmo has published a roadmap of post-launch downloadable content for its open-world sequel. The lineup includes a number of highly requested additions that will see fresh content rolled out until at least summer 2018.

First up is the Hideaway Customisation Pack, which its due out for the PS4, PC, and Xbox One scrapper next month. This includes five hideaway exteriors, ten new furniture items, and five trial missions that you can play repeatedly if you so desire. 

Following up is May’s Additional Weapons Pack, which throws in three new weapon types that come complete with new actions, plus three models of high-levelled weapons. Finally, in summer 2018, Koei Tecmo will roll out the Additional Scenario Pack featuring the following playable characters: Xiahou Ji, Dong Bai, Hua Xiong, and Yuan Shu.

Furthermore, all of the above characters will come equipped with unique action gameplay, scenarios, and events. As is usually the case, all of the DLC will be free if you hold the game’s Season Pass, although it’ll still be sold separately if you only own the game. 

Dynasty Warriors 9 is the first entry in the long-running franchise to feature an open-world setting, although Alice didn’t think it was necessarily as solid as it could have been.
