PC to PS3 chat is now up and running between EVE Online and Dust 514, according to CCP creative director Thomas Farrer.

“You know, between the PC and PS3, right now, we already have chat up and running, so players can type and talk to each other,” Farrer explained to Gamasutra.

“Obviously, we’re working on all of our communication options. EVE mail and Dust mail will be the same thing. You’ll be able to interact via (community portal) EVE Gate, and also VOiP implementation as well.”

CCP’s upcoming MMO Dust 514 is a PS3 exclusive that is set to interact with the studio’s long-running PC title EVE Online, allowing users to fight ground battles on planets in the EVE universe.
