Nintendo has announced its “Launch Schedule of Primary Nintendo Products” for Japan, the US and Europe.
The biggest news for European gamers is confirmation that the Nintendo DSi will be hitting the continent at sometime in spring/summer. It’s a vague six month period, but expect Nintendo to pin down a more accurate date as the months go on.
On the DS software front Euro gamers can look forward to Mystery Case Files: MillionHeir on February 2 and Walk with me! Do you know your walking routine? On February 20. Also on the way in 2009, but without firm dates are Rhythm Paradise, Pokemon Platinum, Mario and Luigi RPG 3 and Kirby Super Star Ultra.
The European Wii schedule confirms some previously announced dates – New Play Control! Pikmin on February 6 and New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis on March 3 – but also offers vague dates for a host of other titles. Out in the first half of 2009 will be Punch Out!! and New Play Control! Pikmin 2. European Wii owners can also look forward to the 2009 release Wii Sports Resort, Sin & Punishment 2, Another Code R and Endless Ocean 2.
Somewhat worryingly for European gamers is the fact that Wii Sports Resort hasn’t been given a firmer European release date. The game has been confirmed for spring in Japan and the first half of 2009 in the US.
