Nintendo Europe has announced that the DS handheld will receive a price cut on October 7th to coincide with the launch of Nintendogs on the DS. The basic unit will see a £10 price cut making it £89.99.

As well as the standard console, a Nintendogs pack will be available on the same date. The Pink DS console will be bundled with the Dachshund version of the game and the blue DS will come with the Labrador version of the game. The great news is that both packs will only cost £99.99.

Nintendogs has sold over 1.5 million copies in North America and Japan and Nintendo high hopes for the European launch.
