PlayStation Plus members will be able to upgrade DriveClub’s content-limited PS Plus Edition to the full version for a one-off payment of £42.99 – but you’ll only be able to access it for as long as your PlayStation Plus subscription remains active.
Sony revealed further details on the differences between the two versions on PlayStation Blog earlier this evening, confirming that the PS Plus Edition will include access to 11 tracks split across one location (India), 10 cars and all game modes.
The full version, meanwhile, will feature 5 locations, 55 tracks, 50 cars and access to all 50 tour events.
PS Plus Edition players are also expected to be able to purchase additional tracks and cars separately, although prices for those have yet to be announced.
It isn’t yet clear how much of a saving the upgrade to the full edition will offer over the standard digital/retail release, although most retailers currently appear to be asking around £50 for the Blu-ray version.
Purchasing the full game will no longer include the previously announced 50 per cent discount on a PlayStation Plus membership, either.
