DriveClub VR has been officially announced – and it’ll be available on PlayStation VR at launch in Japan.
While we don’t yet know how it will differ to the standard game, Sony’s Japanese blog post suggests it’ll offer a realistic first-person cockpit view and 3D audio, and will be available both digitally and at retail. You can check out the first screenshots here.
VideoGamer.com has contacted Sony Europe for details on the game’s European release and for more information on who is developing it following the closure of Evolution earlier this year.
PlayStation VR launches on October 13.
UPDATE: DriveClub’s former game director Paul Rustchynsky has revealed that the game will include “a collection of brand new tracks”.
UPDATE 2: Speaking on NeoGAF, Rustchynsky added: “The same development team who made DRIVECLUB, also made DRIVECLUB VR.” Sony has yet to respond to VideoGamer’s request for comment.
