Evolution is “targeting” a 60FPS frame rate for upcoming PS4 racer DriveClub, but isn’t “making any promises” that it’ll manage to achieve it, TheSixthAxis reports.

Speaking to the site, game director Col Rodgers said that “the game is obviously currently in development… we’re aiming towards [60FPS] but aren’t making any promises right now”.

The E3 demo on display last week ran at only 30FPS and was said to be just 35 per cent complete.

Evolution could be facing pressure from Sony to get its launch racer running at 60FPS. Xbox One rival Forza Motorsport 5 has already been confirmed to be running at 60FPS/1080p.

DriveClub is due to go on sale alongside PS4 this Christmas.
