Driveclub PlayStation Plus Edition should not be called a demo, game director Paul Rustchynsky has told the PlayStation community.

Responding to questions posed on the PlayStation Blog, Rustchynsky revealed the free edition of the delayed racer will include 10 cars to race in one country, which means access to five tracks with 11 distinct variants.

You’ll also have full access to all of the game’s online and offline features.

Whilst a full list of countries in the game hasn’t been announced, we know from videos that there are at least five: Chile, Norway, Scotland, India and Canada.

Driveclub will launch on October 10.

In June last year Evolution senior designer Ben Gouldstone told VideoGamer that “the only difference between the PS Plus edition and the boxed retail is that there’s a slightly scaled down version of content”.

Does including one in five countries qualify as “slightly scaled down”? It doesn’t sound like it should to us.

Do you feel that Sony has over-promised what the PS Plus Edition would be? Is it a glorified demo? Let us know in the comments below.
