DriveClub PS Plus Edition is to be removed from PlayStation Plus’ monthly games catalogue on October 6, Sony has confirmed.

If you’ve yet to give it a go, the platform holder advises that players grab the game from PlayStation Store as soon as possible “before it disappears”.

DriveClub PS Plus Edition launched on PS4 earlier this summer following a number of lengthy delays. The ‘free’ game was initially due to launch alongside PS4 back in November 2013, but was later delayed to October 2014.

However, after problems were discovered in DriveClub’s netcode at launch, the PS Plus Edition was pushed back even further to June 2015 to help ease the demand on Sony’s servers.

DriveClub PS Plus Edition offers PS Plus subscribers access to 15 cars and 13 tracks set in the game’s India location, along with the full suite of modes. What isn’t yet clear, however, is whether those who download the PS Plus Edition prior to October 6 will still be able to upgrade to the full edition at a discounted rate following its removal.
