PS4 racer Driveclub was not delayed in order to include support for upcoming VR peripheral Project Morpheus, Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has said, confirming that Evolution is “not working on Morpheus at all”.

“There’s a rumour about the reason of the pushback of Driveclub was to make it Morpheus compatible…that’s totally untrue,” Yoshida told GameSpot, explaining that experiments with the VR tech led to motion sickness.

“It’s kind of difficult and sickening,” he said, speaking about his time testing Driveclub with Morpheus.

Sony has yet to announce a new release date for Driveclub, which is still officially due for release in ‘early 2014’.
