Not so long ago Square Enix announced it had shipped one million units of Nintendo DS remake Dragon Quest V in Japan. Square has now made a second announcement, this time celebrating one million sales of the game in Japan. That’s sales to people and not the number of units shipped to retailers.

The game launched back on July 17, 2008 so to reach a million units sold in less than four weeks is impressive stuff indeed.

Dragon Quest: The Hand of the Heavenly Bride (the ‘V’ has been dropped for its European release) is still without a firm European release date.
