Bandai Namco has announced that it’ll be delaying the closed beta sign-ups for Dragon Ball FighterZ, on PS4 and XboxOne, from its original date on July 26 to August 22. In a statement Bandai Namco said, ‘Due to the volume of excitement and enthusiasm surrounding this announcement, we’ve decided to expand the capacity of the closed beta in an effort to enable more players to participate in the program’.

Bandai Namco said that it’s working on its network backend, to ensure that closed beta registration and the selection process can deal with the anticipated increased demand.

The new sign up date will be August 22, with the closed beta beginning on September 16-18. The beta will feature nine playable characters for you to have a dabble and grapple with. As with all beta processes, the timings of the sessions could change. But hopefully it all goes without a hitch.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be released in early 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One.
