Legacy, the upcoming DLC for Dragon Age 2, will launch July 26th, EA has revealed.

The add-on will cost 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360, 800 BioWare Points on PC and Mac, and $9.99 on the PlayStation Store.

In addition to new locations and a class-specific weapon, Legacy offers a considerable extension to the game’s narrative.

“Targeted by a vicious criminal cartel that are hunting ‘the blood of the Hawke,’ you must put an end to their relentless attacks,” BioWare has revealed.

In Legacy you’ll leave Kirkwall, and travel to an ancient Grey Warden prison in order to find the source of the aggression and uncover truth about the Hawke lineage. The DLC is accessible from any point in the campaign and will put you face to face with new darkspawn and let you craft a new weapon.

Dragon Age 2 launched earlier this year to mixed reviews. We awarded it a solid but not spectacular 7/10 in our Dragon Age II review.
