Double Fine and iam8bit have announced that they’re teaming up to host the 5th annual Day of the Devs festival on November 11 in San Francisco. The free indie festival is open to the public, and unites the gaming and development communities to celebrate the year’s biggest indie titles. It’ll also put the spotlight on new indie games for folks to discover or learn more about. Indie devs have been encouraged to share their work at the event as well.

Taking place at The Midway in San Francisco, the festival will feature music, activities for all and even some treats for attendees. Double Fine’s president and CEO, Tim Schafer, said ‘We had tons of awesome indie games featured – several of which went on to win awards and even qualify for an Oscar!’, and he promises that this year’s festival will be even better, saying that, ‘We thought long and hard about how we could make Day of the Devs 2017 a festival for the ages, and we’ve come up with some surprises you’re not going to want to miss.’

Day of the Devs is a free festival, which is open to everyone. If you’re in the area or plan to make the trip there, you can get more information from the Day of the Devs website.
