Valve will be taking DOTA 2 to German gaming show gamescom in August, according to a listing on the official gamescom website.

While not explicitly naming the game, Valve is listed to be showing a product under the “strategy” category, of which DOTA 2 is the only known title currently in development at Valve.

Valve didn’t show anything of the new game at E3 last month.

Dota 2 is the follow up to a custom scenario for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, and will be free-to-play. The sequel promises to expand on the unique blend of online RTS and RPG action that made Dota popular with tens of millions of gamers.
