The prize pool for this year’s Dota 2 The International has surpassed $10 million and looks set to continue rising thanks to sales of virtual booklet, The Compendium.

Each sale of The Compendium adds $2.50 to the tournament’s prize pool, which began with only the $1.6 million put up by Valve.

$10 million is the biggest eSports prize pool, walking all over the pot for last year’s event which boasted only $2.8 million.

The International runs July 18-21 at the Key Arena in Seattle, and expect the prize pool to continue rising right up until the action begins.
