Wolfenstein: The New Order will release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC on May 23, Bethesda has announced – and all pre-order customers will receive free access to an exclusive beta of unannounced shooter DOOM.
What is DOOM? We don’t know yet, but it’s thought to be an upcoming reboot of the original id shooter.
According to Bethesda’s website, the DOOM beta “won’t begin until a later, yet-to-be announced date”, with beta participants contacted in the run up to launch.
Access to the beta may be offered via other means, too, although the publisher has yet to confirm how.
As well as revealing a release date, Bethesda also revealed Wolfenstein’s Occupied Edition, a GAME exclusive special edition that includes a copy of the full game, DOOM beta access, a 20-page travel guide to occupied Britain, Wolfenstein travel card holder and a set of 3 postcards.
The set retails for £5 more than the standard edition, costing £54.99 on Xbox One and PS4, £44.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and £34.99 on PC.
And finally, a new trailer highlighting some of B.J. Blaskowicz next-gen action has also been released. Take a look below.
