DOOM’s closed multiplayer beta will run for four days from Thursday, March 31, to Sunday, April 31, Bethesda has announced.

The beta will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC to players who pre-ordered 2014 shooter Wolfenstein: The New Order and have registered the key included in the box. Players who pre-ordered digitally before May 26, 2014 will receive an email from Bethesda containing a key code prior to the beta’s start date.

It isn’t yet clear whether the publisher intends to open the beta up to other players at a later date.

The beta will contain two multiplayer maps, Heatwave and Infernal, and two game modes, 6v6 Team Deathmatch and Warpath, and Bethesda says that its intent is to “encourage people to play as many matches as possible during the Closed Beta test period”.

As well as announcing the date, Bethesda also released a new trailer offering another look at the game’s multiplayer. You can take a look at that below.

DOOM launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 13.
