Xbox One users who pre-order a digital copy of DOOM via the Xbox Store will receive free copies of the original DOOM and DOOM 2, Microsoft has revealed.
Codes for both games will be delivered to pre-order customers within 7-10 days of placing their order, and can be played on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backwards compatibility. The offer is only available “for a limited time”, Microsoft says.
A digital pre-order costs £49.99 on the Xbox Store.
As well as the free games, pre-order customers will also receive the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which offers a “unique Demon-themed armour set”, six exclusive metallic paint colours and three id logo patterns that can be applied to weapons and armour, and six Hack Modules which function as “one-use consumable perks”,
The free backward compatible games follow similar promotions with Fallout 4, Rainbow Six Siege, Just Cause 3 and Dark Souls 3, all of which offered one or more earlier games in the series free to pre-order customers.
DOOM launches on PS4, Xbox One and PC on May 13.
