The latest issue of Japanese video game magazine Famitsu has revealed that Donkey Kong Bongo Blast, originally a game intended for the GameCube and its bongo controller, is now being released for Wii later this year.
Bongo Blast will see players racing though 16 courses spread over seven worlds using the Wii Remote and Nunchuck to steer, accelerate and jump. Shaking the controllers will make you go faster, shaking a single controller will make the character steer in that direction, and raising both controllers will perform a jump.
The game will also feature split-screen multiplayer for up to four players.
Donkey Kong Bongo Blast is scheduled for release in Japan on June 28, but a release date for other territories hasn’t been announced.
