Modern Warfare 2 is now out in the wild – with many players joining the fight following the game’s open beta around a month or so back.

Over the course of two weeks, players earned ranks and levelled up – turning their hard earned scores into XP and prizes. But does that progress carry over into the full game?

While the answer may not surprise you, all that work you put in will still be worth it – and not just in the valuable data Infinity Ward will no doubt be collecting.

Do you keep progress from the MW2 beta?

Infinity Ward previously confirmed that progress will not be carried over from the Modern Warfare 2 beta into the full game. That’s the bad news.

The good news is that there’s a bunch of rewards to earn from playing the beta that will indeed be added to your account in the full game.

All you have to do is rank up, and you’ll earn rewards at certain levels. There’s 30 ranks and ten rewards to unlock, so there’s plenty to play for.

You can read up more on these rewards here, but as a general overview:

  • Level 2: Animated Emblem “Smashed It”
  • Level 4: “Buckle Up” Charm
  • Level 6: Animated Player Card “Passed The Test”
  • Level 10: Sticker “Operation First Blood”
  • Level 15: Weapon Blueprint “Side Impact”
  • Level 18: Operation Skin – “Collision”
  • Level 19: Vinyl Unlock “No Competition”
  • Level 21: Sticker “Safety First”
  • Level 26: Vehicle Skin “Floor It”
  • Level 30: Weapon Blueprint “Frontal Impact”

These rewards should be granted when you boot up the game. If they’re not in right away – don’t fret, play a few games and they should appear eventually.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is out now for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
