Disney Universe, the upcoming 4-player co-op platformer for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC/Mac, is hoping to win over crowds with plenty of DLC.

Disney Universe will ship with 6 worlds – spanning both Disney and Pixar settings – when it’s released in autumn 2011, and allows players to dress up as 40 Disney characters in the game.

The focus for Disney Universe’s DLC is on new levels rather than endless costume packs, however.

When asked by VideoGamer.com if the DLC was going to focus primarily on new costumes, senior producer Iain Richies said that “ultimately the DLC for us, at this stage, is going to be world-based.”

But will the DLC not be making its way to the PC and Mac?

The press release states: “The fun will continue on with plans for Disney Universe to be an expanding universe post-launch with items for download and new content available. Additional worlds, costumes, and more will be available for purchase, giving Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system owners an ever-evolving gameplay experience.”

We’ve contacted Disney for clarification.
