Dispatch and Clair Obscur Expedition 33 have both landed inside Steam’s top five highest-rated games of 2025. Steam250 has shared the “top 250 best games released in 2025” on Steam, and the list is curated based on the top-reviewed games from users, with open-world crime simulator Schedule 1 leading the pack.
Per the Steam250’s about page, rankings are decided by player votes. This is the thumbs up or down you can give any game on Steam, so long as you have played for at least five minutes. Rankings are then determined by an algorithm that sorts games based on the number of votes and the approval rating.
Below are the top 10 highest-rated Steam games of 2025, accompanied by score, user rating, and votes:
- Schedule 1 – score 6.02 – 98% rating (268,000 votes)
- R.E.P.O – score 6.00 – 96% (342,000 votes)
- Dispatch – score 5.98 – 98% (151,000 votes)
- Clair Obscur Expedition 33 – score 5.97 – 96% (240,000 votes)
- Delatrune – score 5.97 – 99% (91,500 votes)
- PEAK – score 5.96 – 95% (271,000 votes)
- Split Fiction – score 5.95 – 97% (110,000 votes)
- Bongo Cat – score 5.94 – 98% (84,700 votes)
- Hades 2 – score 5.92 – 96% (110,000 votes)

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 and Schedule 1 were also part of the top 12 best-selling games on Steam last year. Interestingly, Hollow Knight Silksong is not listed among the top 10 highest-rated, despite winning the Steam Awards Game of the Year.
Both Dispatch and Clair Obscur Expedition 33 have escaped 2025 as fan favorites and part of the BAFTA Game Awards 2026 GOTY longlist. The Clair Obscur Expedition 33 developer is already working on their next game, whereas the Dispatch developer is thinking about possibly making Season 2 thanks to the game’s success.
