Disney has officially announced Disney Infinity’s Toy Story play set and revealed a second wave of characters due to release later this year and early 2014.

The Toy Story play set – previously revealed as Toy Story in Space – is Disney Infinity’s sixth play set, and introduces Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie the Cowgirl as playable characters. Buzz and Jessie are rumoured to be included with the play set, with Woody sold separately.

The set is expected to go on sale this October.

In addition to Toy Story, Disney also announced multiple new characters for use in the game’s Toy Box mode, including Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse (Fantasia), Wreck-It-Ralph and Vanellope (Wreck-It-Ralph), Jack Skellington (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Phineas and Agent P. (Phineas and Ferb), Anna and Elsa (Frozen) and Rapunzel (Tangled).

The characters will begin rolling out later this year through to 2014.

And finally, Disneyland will be available to download for Toy Box at launch, letting users create a Disneyland-themed world. A price for the download has yet to be announced.

Disney Infinity launches on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, Wii and Nintendo 3DS next Friday, August 23.
