Codemasters has finally confirmed the status of the PlayStation 5 version of upcoming rallycross game DiRT 5, revealing that the next-gen version will be landing on Sony’s console in time for launch.

Confirming the news via Twitter, the official account also noted that the PlayStation 5 edition of the game will include many of the bells and whistles already confirmed for the Xbox Series S/X version, including cross gen play (with PlayStation 4), 120fps and 4K options as well as faster loading, but will also benefit from the Sony console’s DualSense controller, utilizing the Haptic Feedback and Adapative Triggers features too.

And of course, as already confirmed the PlayStation 5 version will be offered as a free upgrade to those who buy the PlayStation 4 version, although be aware if you’re picking it up early that most of your progress from the PS4 will not carry over to the new system.

DiRT 5 is set to release on PlayStation 5 from November 12 (and November 19 in the UK) following the Xbox Series S/X release on November 10 and the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC release on November 6.
