The PS3 version of Battlefield 3 will be “very similar” to the PC version of the game, DICE executive producer Patrick Bach has told PSM3 (seen by CVG).

Bach told the magazine that he isn’t overly concerned by console/PC comparisons, pointing to obvious limitations of console hardware.

“Of course, there are practical limitations on the console versions with things like CPU, resolution, memory, bandwidth… things like that,” he told PSM3.

“But I’m not worried about the output of PS3 compared to PC. It’ll be very similar.”

Battlefield 3 launches in the UK on October 28 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, a few weeks ahead of Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on November 8.

Until we see more of Battlefield 3 on consoles – we’re yet to see the game running on Xbox 360 – scepticism from gamers, followed by a defensive response from DICE is likely to continue.
