Developer DICE has announced that it has postponed the first slice of free DLC for Battlefield V.
Writing in a post on Twitter (via PST), the studio confirmed that Chapter 1: Overture (sounds a bit like the start of a 1970s progressive rock track to me ; maybe something by Yes, perhaps?) has been delayed due to a technical hiccup.
The update is part of the post-launch Tides of War event, which will dish out extra content in the coming months to keep things kicking over. Among the goodies featured with the update includes a new War Stories mission titled The Last Tiger, as well as the Belgium-based Panzerstorm map.
While DICE hasn't said when we can expect Overture to show its face, it did indicate that the delay won't be too long.
Battlefield V was released on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on November 20, and despite a couple of noticeable problems, is a pretty fine shooter when all's said and done.
The team has discovered an issue with the #Battlefield Chapter 1: Overture update. Rather than create issues in the game, we’re holding the update for the time being. We don’t anticipate a long delay and we’ll be back with more news tomorrow or as soon as we have it. pic.twitter.com/bc6xlWPc8e
