Blizzard has finally begun closed beta testing on Diablo III after sending out its first wave of invitations to selected users.
Beta testers will be able to play through Act I of the game as any one of the five available classes: Barbarian, Witch Doctor, Wizard, Monk, and Demon Hunter.
Both co-op and single-player are available, and users will have the chance to play in either mode as they finally down the Skeleton King.
Additionally, crafting and skill systems will be tested, and users will be able to meet up with key characters from Sanctuary such as artisans and followers.
Diablo III will include matchmaking and communication tools, as well as a much-discussed player-driven economy. While beta testing is limited to the current selection of users, Blizzard plan to invite more participants over the course of the test.
Diablo III’s release date has yet to be announced.
