The long-awaited Diablo III beta will take place this summer, Activision Blizzard has revealed.
“The game is looking great,” Morhaime said during the publisher’s Q1 earnings call, “and we’re currently aiming at a third quarter launch for external beta testing.”
Activision’s Q3 runs July through September 2011.
Morhaime revealed that internal testing on the title began last week.
Blizzard also confirmed that it doesn’t expect to release a new game this year, but will likely put out two titles in 2012 – one of which will surely be Diablo III.
