Blizzard is finally tackling some core gameplay Diablo 4 issues with the arrival of Season 10. While the game’s seasonal update structure is still annoying, this season is massively improving bosses to make grinding less annoying.

Diablo 4 Season 10 boss changes

In Season 10, Lair bosses already have unique loot pools instead of a larger conjoined pool, allowing you to quickly identify what items you want and when you can get them. But that’s just the start of the improvements.

For Season 10, Diablo 4 has removed all immunity phases from bosses across the entire game, something that was teased not too long ago. Players on the current PTR have praised the game’s removal of immunity as it stopped high-tier players from being able to quickly farm bosses.

Diablo content creator Cliptis showed off the new PTR version of the game on social media in a fight against Andariel. In prior versions of the game, players who were grinding against the boss had to wait through annoying immunity phases multiple times during the fight.

Now, a high-skilled player with a meta build is able to rapidly decimate the boss in just 7 seconds. Of course, this doesn’t make the boss easier, but it does make grinding more efficient for endgame players.

The removal of boss immunity in Diablo 4 has been highly requested for a while now, and it’s just one part of Blizzard’s newfound focus for the game.

Alongside Season 10’s major gameplay changes, the studio is also working on the next expansion for the game. At the time of writing, it’s not known what the expansion will entail, but it seems that players will be returning to Westmarch as they follow Mephisto’s cult

Additionally, Blizzard has leaked the addition of the Paladin class, the long-awaited holy fighter that’s been a staple of the series since Diablo 2. The expansion is expected to release sometime during 2026.
