Diablo 4 fans say doing this strange task leads to better loot

Loot can be hard to come by in Diablo 4 at times but that might be all about to change if you just FOLLOW THE RATS. At least, that is what one player has taken to social media to proclaim.

Noting how bizarre that advice sounds to the average player, one player assured others that if they follow the rats in Diablo 4 they will be led to good loot. They said, “Don’t follow the predetermined path in any dungeon, instead, just follow the rats. The rats smell the cheese!” While this entire sentence seems like something not too dissimilar from some of the ramblings of characters in the Diablo world, it might actually be sound advice.

The player, zerger45, confirmed that following this notion they found multiple legendaries in the space of around 10 minutes. They continued saying, “The rats will tell you which pack of enemies to kill, and then they wander towards where you need to go!” The sceptical among you may not be true rat followers but maybe this is worth exploring yourself before passing any judgement.

Intrigued players flocked to the Reddit thread noting that this was probably the best advice they had ever heard on the page. Alongside this, others were quick to ask if there were any specific builds that would help you “follow rats better.” While this has mostly been a good laugh for a lot of players, some believe there is some truth to the theory with one player noting that following animals has led them to plant mats, so the idea of following rats for better loot doesn’t sound so outlandish.
