Blizzard will release an update for Diablo 3 to support Apple’s new line of Retina display-enabled Macbook Pros.
The update will boost the OS X version’s supported resolutions to 2880 x 1800 to specifically include support for Apple’s new hardware.
A time scale for the update has not been given.
“You are going to see a gaming experience unlike any you’ve seen before,” said Apple’s Phil Schiller during the firm’s WWDC event yesterday.
Apple is also due to port its iOS Game Center to OS X, and include support for Mac-to-Mac and cross-device gaming.
Apple unveiled its new line of Macbook Pros last night.
In addition to the super high-resolution Retina display, the revised hardware includes a cutting edge processor and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000, boosting performance by up to 60% over previous models.
