The new hardbound edition of Diablo III: Book of Cain will be available in the US December 13, while its international release is set for February 7.
The fully-illustrated book includes artwork by Brom, Mark Gibbons, Jim Gurney, John Howe, Alan Lee, Iain McCraig, Jean-Baptiste Monge, and Adrian Smith.
It is set to tell the story and history of Sanctuary as written in the journal of Deckard Cain and passed down by his adopted daughter Leah. Book of Cain will explain how Sanctuary came to be and the ongoing war between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, as well as the rise of Zakarum, Horadrim traditions, the genesis and geography of Sanctuary, and moments such as the destruction of Tristram which leads up to Diablo III.
The book will sell for $35.00 in North America, while Diablo III itself is scheduled for release next year on PC and Mac. Blizzard is also investing in a possible console release.
