Blizzard has confirmed it is investigating reports of vanishing Diablo 3 achievements and assures players that earned achievements have not been lost.
In a thread over on the Battle.net forums – filled with complaints about missing achievements – Blizzard’s Vasadan wrote: “As you can probably imagine, our servers are currently really busy handling all the new players coming into the game.”
“”The achievements server in particular is being hammered, which may be why your achievements are not showing up. It is not that they are deleted, but that there is a (very long) delay in retrieving that data.
“We are working on it.”
Diablo 3 has been plagued by server issues since launch, after hundreds of thousands of players attempted to play the game they’d been dreaming about for over a decade.
If you missed all the midnight launch shenanigans you can pretend you were there by casting your eyes over the Diablo 3 launch gallery.
