Devolver Digital just pushed a teaser trailer for a new horror game called Stories Untold. At least, we must presume it’s a horror game: neither the trailer or the website actually say that, but the press release just said ‘Stories Untold will make you s*** your pants’.

Stories Untold is made by No Code, which put out Super Arc Light, and The House Abandon, a kind of horror text adventure that plays out on an old CRT screen that is itself on one corner a desk on your screen.

The YouTube blurb on the Stories Untold teaser says ‘Stories Untold is a compilation tape of four episodes from the now cancelled series of the same name, including a remaster of the original pilot episode “The House Abandon”’ which means if you play The House Abandon you’ll probably get a feel for the sort of thing Stories Untold will be about.

This does explain why three different companies tweeted a gif of a glowing red ball recently. as noticed by user Sinatar on NeoGaf.

If you were going to make a ‘Stranger Things the video game’ joke be assured that someone somewhere has already beaten you to it.
