Capcom has today announced that a free playable demo of its upcoming action sequel, Devil May Cry 4, is to be released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 early in 2008.
The demo will feature a sample of sections from the full game and will enable players to experiment with the power of Nero’s Devil Bringer. Expect to be guided through the abilities of the Devil Bringer, including slamming creatures to the ground, covering great distances in a single bound and grabbing enemies while on the ground or in the air.
Players will also get to experience the Exceed system, allowing Nero to “rev up” his sword as if it were a motorbike, unleashing devastating attacks on the enemy onslaught. The demo will end with a showdown with the mighty Berial.
Devil May Cry 4 is scheduled for release in February for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with the PC version to follow at a later date. No firm date has been confirmed in Europe, but it’s expected shortly after the February 5 North American date.
