We’re expecting a release date announcement for Deus Ex: Human Revolution this week, but it appears the Australian arm of GameStop has beaten Square Enix to the punch.
Posting on Twitter last night, GameStop said: “OMG…BIG announcement! Deus Ex: Human Revolution is coming out 25/08!”
That date would indicate a likely UK release date of August 26, 2011, and what could be one of the first blockbuster releases in the final third of the year.
The late August release date would mimic the 2009 release of Eidos/Square Enix’s Batman: Arkham Asylum, a date which helped the comic caper ship 2.5 million during its first month.
