Bungie has revealed the first details on two new Destiny events due to roll out from today.
Starting from today until Sunday, September 21, the Combined Arms PVP event tasks players with heading into the Crucible to “pilot the machines of war” and engage in “massive scale” vehicular combat.
“This is all out war on a massive scale,” says Bungie. “Guardians fight to survive in vehicular combat. Form up into Fireteams of six. Drive toward supremacy and glory. Watch for increased Heavy Ammor drops!”
Success will be rewarded with Crucible Gear, Crucible Marks and Crucible Reputation.
Meanwhile, next Tuesday, September 23 will see the opening of the new Queen’s Wrath campaign mission, in which players must “extinguish the enemies of the Reef” to earn unique Legendary and Rare Gear.
The event will run until Monday, October 6.
“There are many ways to forge your legend,” adds Bungie. “Return to the wild. Return to the Crucible. Defeat your enemies and reap the rewards. We’ll be here to watch your career with great interest, and keep your head in the game.”
Activision announced earlier this week that Destiny had grossed more than $325m within its first five days on sale, with the game contributing significantly to PS4 hardware sales last week.
