Destiny has become the most pre-ordered new IP in history, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg has revealed.
The PS4 version is “leading that charge”, he adds.
Impressive pre-release sales suggest that Destiny could go on to beat Watch Dogs, which became the industry’s fastest-selling new IP following its launch in May.
Over 4.6 million players participated in the Destiny beta last month, making it the most popular beta of the generation so far.
