A public beta test for Bungie’s upcoming online-shooter Destiny will launch in early 2014 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, Amazon has revealed.

Access to the beta will be offered to pre-order customers at Amazon, although it isn’t yet known whether access to the beta will also be offered via any alternate means.

Neither Bungie or Activision have yet to officially announce a playable beta for Destiny.

“Pre-order ‘Destiny’ and receive access to the upcoming beta,” says Amazon’s product page. “Beta will be available in early 2014 on the following platforms: PS4 system, PS3 system, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Limited time only. While beta codes last. Internet connection is required.”

All existing Amazon pre-order customers will be given access to the beta, the retailer states.

Destiny is due to launch next year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. VideoGamer.com has contacted Activision for comment.
